- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup European Butter (frozen)
- 1/2 cup Crisco (frozen)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 5 tablespoons whole milk
- 3 large peaches (sliced and pealed)
Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in frozen butter and crisco with a pastry cutter until the texture is like coarse meal. Place in refrigerator. In another bowl, mix egg, vinegar and milk. Remove flour mixture from refrigerator. Add liquids to flour mixture until dough holds together. Put in plastic bag, kneed several times and pat into a disc. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Roll out half of the dough on floured surface until about 1/8 of an inch thick. Carefully transfer to a baking sheet.
Place peach slices at the center and fold the edges of the crust up over the mound. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 400F for 30 to 40 min, or until golden brown.
